Coach and minibus parking at Twickenham
Rugby travels in packs. If you are bringing the club, the school or the stag do, this is where anything bigger than a car can actually park.

Coaches
Three things limit where a coach can go on a match day: the road closures around the ground, the residential streets of Whitton and St Margarets (tight, parked up, and inside the event zone), and the fact that most matchday car parks are school playgrounds with a gate built for a Ford Fiesta. What's left is a short list, and it books up early for internationals.

Two of the school car parks, Orleans Park and Twickenham School, are on the edges of the area with sensible access (Richmond Road and the A316 respectively). Nelson Primary in Whitton takes coaches but sits on residential roads; ring them before you commit a 12-metre vehicle to it. All of them want coaches booked in advance, by email or phone rather than the online form, and they will ask for the vehicle length.
Minibuses and MPVs
Much easier. Most school and scout car parks take a minibus at a higher price, usually because it takes two bays. The ones that don't are the church car park on Erncroft Way, Chase Bridge, and the official Cardinal Vaughan car park (which also has a 6'1" height bar). Twickenham School charges £30 for an MPV, which is the cheapest way to park a seven-seater with the roof box on.

Drop-off and pick-up
Until about two hours before kick-off you can drop on Whitton Road or Rugby Road like anyone else. After that the roads are closed and the designated point for coaches, taxis and private hire is the Twickenham Stoop, TW2 7SX, Harlequins' ground on the A316 directly opposite the stadium. Drop there, park at your booked car park, and agree the Stoop as the pick-up point with a time that is at least 90 minutes after the final whistle, because your passengers won't be out any sooner. Timing for a coach
- Arrive 3 hours before kick-off if you are going into Whitton or St Margarets. The residential roads fill from mid-morning and a coach can't turn round.
- Rosebine and Twickenham School are on the A316 so you can arrive later, but the Whitton Road roundabout is queuing from two hours out.
- Leaving: club coaches typically go about 30 to 45 minutes after the final whistle once everyone is back on board, and are out onto the A316 by the hour mark. Agree the meeting time before anyone goes to the bar. See getting out after the match.
Rules that apply to big vehicles
- The event day parking zone applies to coaches too: nothing on the street without a permit, 11am to 11pm.
- No overnight stays or camper vans in the official car parks.
- ULEZ applies. Older diesel minibuses and coaches pay the daily charge, and coaches over 5 tonnes that don't meet the standard fall under the Low Emission Zone, which is a lot more. Check the vehicle on TfL's site before the trip.

- Where do coaches park for Twickenham Stadium?
- The stadium sells coach spaces at the Rosebine Avenue car park on the A316 (about a 10 to 15 minute walk) through its event day parking pages, and several school car parks in Whitton and Twickenham take coaches by arrangement: Nelson Primary, Orleans Park School and Twickenham School among them. Coach drop-off is at the Twickenham Stoop on the A316 on most match days.
- Can a minibus park at a school car park for Twickenham?
- Yes at several: Nelson Primary, St Edmund’s, Orleans Park, Twickenham School, Turing House, 1st Whitton Scouts and St Augustine’s all list minibuses, usually at £30 to £80.
