Privacy notice

Short version: you don't sign up, we don't ask for your name or email, and we don't sell anything about you. Ads and affiliate links pay for the site, and ad cookies only go on with your permission.

Who we are

Park Near Twickers (parkneartwickers.co.uk) is run by Day Nest Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Day Nest Ltd is the controller for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: [email protected].

We are an independent site. We are not the RFU, Allianz Stadium or any of the car parks listed.

What we collect, and why

• Technical data when you load a page. Like every website, our host and suppliers see your IP address, browser and the page you asked for. We use this to deliver the site and keep it secure (our legitimate interest). We don't use it to identify you.
• Your theme choice. If you switch the floodlights on or off, your browser remembers it (local storage key pnt-theme). It never leaves your device.
• Ads. Google AdSense shows the ads. In the UK and EU, Google's consent message asks you first; ad cookies that personalise or measure ads are only set if you agree (your consent). If you say no, you may still see non-personalised ads. See cookies for the detail.
• Visitor statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and car parks people use and which Book buttons they click, so we know what to improve. In the UK and EU it only sets its cookies if you agree in the consent message (your consent); if you say no, it stores nothing on your device. Google shortens IP addresses and we don't send it anything that identifies you. We keep the statistics for 14 months.
• Affiliate links. Some Book buttons (JustPark and YourParkingSpace) go through Awin, an affiliate network. When you click one, Awin records the click so that if you book, we earn a small commission. You pay the same. Awin and the booking site handle that data under their own privacy notices. School, scout and church car park links are never affiliate links.
• Bookings. We don't take bookings or payments. When you book, you do it on the car park's own site, under their privacy notice.

We don't run sign-ups, newsletters, contact forms or comment boxes, so we hold no names, emails or phone numbers unless you email us. If you do, we keep your email only as long as we need to reply and deal with your request.

Who else processes data

• Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks.
• Supabase serves the live car park availability. Your browser asks it for spaces; no personal data is sent.
• MapTiler / OpenStreetMap serve the map tiles, so they see your IP address when your browser fetches them. The site's fonts are served from our own host.
• Google (AdSense, Analytics and its consent message) serves ads and counts visits. How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Some of these companies process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. You can change your cookie choices at any time with cookie settings. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
